Eligibility & Requirements
Deputy Director General (Administration & Finance)
External Candidates (Category I)
- A basic degree in Managerial/Administration from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC); AND
- Master Degree in Management/Administration/Finance; AND
- At least 15 years' experience in Managerial level after the first degree out of which 05 years should be at senior manager level after Postgraduate qualifications with a proven track record in a Corporation/Board or a reputed educational institute.
External Candidates (Category II - Secondment)
- An officer in the class I of an all Island Service, with 15 years of experience in the service, preferably relating to field of Education (on secondment).
Internal Candidates
- A Postgraduate Degree with minimum of 05 years' satisfactory service in a post in the Senior Manager category (HM 1-3) in Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education; AND
- A proven ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams. Experience in proper deployment and efficient management of human and other resources.
General Conditions & Age Limit
- Age Limit: Below 45 years as at the closing date for applications for all categories. This restriction does not apply to applicants who are in the Public/ Corporation Service Sector/ Statutory Boards/ SOEs.
- Citizenship & Character: Candidates should be citizens of Sri Lanka and of excellent moral character.
- EPF/ETF Contribution: Selected candidates will contribute 10% of earnings to EPF, with SLIATE contributing 15% to EPF and 3% to ETF.
- Channeling Applications: Applicants in Government Departments, Corporations, and Statutory Boards/SOEs should send applications through the Head of respective Institutions, as per SLIATE Act No. 29 of 1995 clause 15 (1), (2), (3), (4), (5).
